It is with a heavy heart that Sylvia and myself have made the decision that all classes will be suspended until further notice. 

We all need to keep safe so that we can all see each again when the danger of Covid-19 has past.

Hi ladies

 As you can see I had a bit of a brain wave and thought why not try and do this blog via my phone and so far it seems to have worked and long may this continue.

 Well I do hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, I know I certainly did. I am now so looking forward to seeing you all again and I hope you are all too looking forward to another creative year together.

We decided that this month we would concentrate on the background of our cards and so we have a couple of techniques that hopefully you will not have done before. 

So here goes with the first cards of 2020......

Ho Ho Ho  and a Merry Christmas to you all 🎄🎅🎄.

As you can tell it's that time of year and as you requested something different that's what we are going to be doing & this project will take us the next 2 months to finish,  but I promise you it will be worth it.

So here is this month's teaser.......... We are going to be making master boards & hopefully you will have time on Sunday to make at least 2 of this lovely things.

Here are a few that Sylvia & I have made. You can choice your own colour schemes but please bear in mind these are going to be made into Christmas cards.

These have all been made using acrylic paint with some stamping and lots of stencils. I have to say these do look a lot nicer in person.
Hope this has given you some inspiration and I cannot wait to see all your lovely creations xxx

June 2019 - please note date change 15th &16th

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well. Firstly I'd like to remind you of the date change - we will be 1 week later than usual due mainly to Sylvia being on holiday. This has also worked in my benefit as we had the fantastic news that my daughter has been award a prize at school for the best student in history and as such my husband & I have been invited to attend this Saturday to see her prize being awarded & then to continue the celebrations with a barbeque afterwards. So please can you all wish for good weather this weekend  😘

As you have been all requesting different techniques I thought it would be fun to try the bleeding tissue technique and have a  play with a product called Brusho, which are essentially magic crystals that contains inks that they release when they come into contact with fluid ie water. Paperartsy also have a similar product called Infusions but they also have a walnut stain added.

As we said in our email please do not rush out to buy these products but if you do possess any please can you bring them along as it will greatly help to speed things along.

Also it will be rather messy so if you want to protect yourself please bring an apron & gloves with you plus LOTS of scrap paper.

So here goes with this month's examples

Card 1 - Bleeding Circles - this is the bleeding tissue technique which I know some have done at a different class but hopefully you will still enjoy it

Card 2 - Spritze Away - the first Brusho technique 

Card 3 -  Controlled Brusho - as you will discover Brusho have a mind of their own but we will attempt to control them with this technique

Card 4 - It's all about the background - as the name implies it's the background that uses this technique but as I will show you, you can use it for your focal image as well

Hi everyone as Sylvia said in her email I am currently residing in my sick bed with the Flu but fingers crossed I will be fit enough for this weekend's classes.

Well Happy New Year to you all.  I do hope you had a lovely Christmas & that Santa rewarded you all for being such Good Girls throughout the year😉.

I feel like it was only yesterday that we had our last meeting and already I have failed in one of my New Year Resolutions which was to be more organised, mainly because I totally forgot we had moved the class to this weekend 😳. Luckily Sylvia has stepped into the breach and has somehow managed to design  4 cards for us .

Hi everyone I do hope you are all keeping well and that your preparations for the Big Day are coming along, with that in mind this months projects are not greeting cards and are all about giving a handmade gift or decoration so without further ado lets get going 

Project 1 - Snow globe - don't forget your extra £1 

If you can confirm your attendance to Sylvia ( if you haven't already done so ) I would be grateful so that I can ensure there are enough snow globes to go around - any extras I can sell at £1 each

Hi everyone hope you all survived Halloween and Bonfire night unscathed.  I think my dog Monty, is in competition with the fireworks into who can make the most noise as he insists on barking every time one goes off, not great when you have a stinking head cold
