December 2017 cards

Hi Ladies hope you are all keeping well and that your festive preparations are going to plan.

So as discussed at the last meeting we are going to make just 2 cards this month but one of them is an extra special one. So you will need to choose between version 1 or 2 of the first card.

I have done kits for those of you who asked for them.

So here goes with this month's cards

Card 1 - version 1 - I have done this card with different coloured flowers and they looked lovely.

Version 2
Silver & red version

Gold version

Card 2 - Simple Stag

October 2017 cards

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well. I have had a busy time since our last meeting mainly attending archery competitions with the family. I hope you don't mind me bragging their latest successes.

Here's Amy with the biggest cup to date, for winning Norfolk outdoor junior competition

Here's Amy and Daron with their fellow team mate Dan and their shield for winning best team for Norfolk.

Bragging over now to the real thing you want, here are this month's cards. I warn you I seem to be having a thing for blue and yellow at the moment.

Card 1 - Partial View

Although I made this a girly card, you could do a masculine version and if I get time I will attempt to get  one done.

Card 2 -  It's all Blue and Yellow (sorry I couldn't think of a better name)

This card has lots of layers but I think it's worth it.

Card 3 - Very Blue Christmas

This was a card I saw being demo'd at Thetford show recently and thought you would all like it too.

Friday 11 August 2017

Punches for sale

I just wanted to let you know that I will be bringing with me a couple of boxes of Stampin Up bits including punches, ink pads and stamps that I will be selling on behalf of a friend.
There is also a big shot for sale so if you fancy grabbing a bargain don't forget to bring your purses along to group.

August 2017 cards

Hi everyone hope you are all enjoying the "lovely" weather we have experienced recently ......well at least we have a good excuse to stay indoors and craft.

This month is a mixture of normal & Christmas cards so we hope you enjoy them.

Card 1 - Embossed Christmas

This card uses all those scraps of embossed card we have lying around but you could easily take this layout & use patterned paper instead

Card 2 - Faux Tile

You will need a scoring board to make the background for this card

Card 3 - Small stamp delight

This card uses all those tiny stamps we have in our stash, Sylvia has done 2 slightly different designs for you all but this could easily be turned into another Christmas design.

Card 4 - Plain & simple

Oh how I'm never tired of this old fellow

Hope you will all join us this weekend x

Thursday 6 July 2017

Christmas in July 2017

Merry Christmas everyone .....there I've said the dreaded "C" word.

As crafters we need to be prepared so here we are again with our annual Christmas in July which for the uninitiated means all the cards have a Christmas theme ........so don your tinsel and festive earrings and let's get started.

Card 1 - Silent night

Card 2 - Christmas Pinwheel

Card 3- Simple Snowflakes

Card 4- Christmas Squares

Hope to see you all this weekend

Friday 9 June 2017

June 2017 cards

Hi ladies well here we are again and this month I had intended doing all fancy fold cards but unfortunately I could only get 2 designs to work to my satisfaction, therefore you have 2 fancy fold cards and 1 which is a totally different technique.

So let's start......l

Card 1 - the first fancy fold ......A star

This does take a 12"x12" sheet but I'm sure you could make a smaller version if you don't have the larger card stock.

Card 2 - Embossing delight

Card 3 - Double Diamond Fold

I love how this card magically comes together and I will apologise now as I'm guaranteed to  squeal with delight at class. I will attempt to make a male version of this card which I will bring to class with me.

Saturday 13 May 2017

May's bonus card

Here is the extra card I promised you to make it you will need the following

Pink card to make base card
patterned paper
Ribbon, lace or Rikrak
Small sentiment stamp
Flat back pearls

I will provide necessary punches

May 2017 cards

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well.

For class this month we have 3 variations of 1 card lay out. The card technique is called Peek a Boo and no I didn't name it, even though it sounds like one of my creations. Hopefully you will like it so here goes with the cards.

Card 1 - Simple Peek a Boo - You can use flowers or butterflies to embellish this card with.

Card 2 - One for the Girls - the necklace is made with sequin "ribbon" I have loads if you would like some or you can use pearls as suggested in your email

Card 3  - One for the boys

I have one more design along the same lines so if we have time we can make that too. You just need card and lace. I will attempt to get it made before the weekend and post it then.

Hope to see you all at the weekend x

Sunday 12 February 2017

Variation of a theme

Hi everyone, thank you so much to those in the group who braved the snowy weather to attend class this weekend it was much appreciated.

I thought it might be nice to see how everyone's card from Sunday's group turned out and how by changing something as simple as colours,  the cards can look so different.

Firstly here's a group shot of the cards. If you look beyond the cards you can see all the snow we have at the moment.

Here's all the different daisy cards. I love the different colour daisies and the heart one is one I made for my darling husband whom I met 29 years ago today.

These are the variations of my card, I love Pauline's bee cards.

So thanks again & hope to see a few more of you next month

February cards 2017

Hi everyone hope you are all okay. I've been really busy since we last met up and I hope you don't mind me sharing one piece of really good news.

Amy is now Norfolk junior archery champion and here she is with her trophy & medal. We are all the more proud of her as she did it whilst suffering from Glandular Fever.

So now onto what you really want to see the cards we are doing this month. I've tried to make them all stylish but very simple to make, so we may have time to spare. In which case if you would like to bring extra supplies to make one of the cards in another colour way then please feel free to do so.

Card 1 -  3 Little bits

 Extra supplies 1" & 1 1/4 " circle punch

Card 2 - Double fold card

Card 3 - Pretty Flowers in a Row

Card 4 - Moonlight Mask now think Sunrise scene would be a better title

See you all at the weekend
