December 2018

Hi everyone I do hope you are all keeping well and that your preparations for the Big Day are coming along, with that in mind this months projects are not greeting cards and are all about giving a handmade gift or decoration so without further ado lets get going

Project 1 - Snow globe - don't forget your extra £1

If you can confirm your attendance to Sylvia ( if you haven't already done so ) I would be grateful so that I can ensure there are enough snow globes to go around - any extras I can sell at £1 each

Side 2

Project 2 & 3 - Gift card holders

Version 1 - for the boys

Version 2 - for the girls

November 2018 cards

Hi everyone hope you all survived Halloween and Bonfire night unscathed.  I think my dog Monty, is in competition with the fireworks into who can make the most noise as he insists on barking every time one goes off, not great when you have a stinking head cold

So here goes with this month's cards

Card 1 - It's a Wreath time

Card 2 - Partial Veiw

Version 1

Version 2 - my favourite 😀 -

I forgot the corner rounder punch from the list

Card 3 - Is it an envelope or a card??

Think I may add a bit of bling to the centre of the snowflake now I've seen it on here

Thursday 18 October 2018

Or

Hope you like our cards and hope to see you all this weekend x

Friday 7 September 2018

Apologies

My previous post may seem a bit strange as I wrote/ posted it on Wedsnesday after Sylvia and I met up. I checked it after posting and all seemed well. It was only today that I found there was a problem when I showed it to a patient and realised this month's post was missing 😱

Still cannot figure out what went wrong but hopefully you can all, see it now

Also we have been reminded we had said we would do the card we missed from July so please bring the supplies for that card too  ( card 3 on July's post)

September cards 2018

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well and have had a great summer. I feel it's been ages since we met up last so really looking forward to seeing you all again, although unfortunately I will not be able to make Saturday's class due to a family party :-(

As my craft room is also out of action I spent a great day today at Sylvia's getting the cards ready for this weekends classes. I think we both had a great time and we did think we may make this a regular thing, (any excuse to craft & gossip and we are there !).

One thing we did forget was to name the cards so as this blog should be live before Sylvia gets the list out so our running order may be different and the cards may have slightly different names but hopefully you should be to match them up. So here goes with this month's sample.....

Card 1 - Extra special Poinsettia this card may take a little time but I think it's worth the effort

Here's my silver version

And this is Sylvia's gold version

Card 2 - It's a Wreath thing - don't think our cards are that different

My card

And Sylvia's

Card 3 - It's all loops and flowers - this time we did different colours and I cannot wait to see your colour ways

My version - purple & grey (SU's elegant eggplant & basic grey)

Sylvia's version- orange and yellow

July 2018 cards

Welll Ho Ho Ho everyone

and that greeting can mean only one thing ....... It's Christmas in July again Woo Hoo. This is one of my yearly  highlights I look forward to .....I know I need to get out more.

So dust off your Chrimbo earrings and tinsel and let's get the Christmas festivities started.

So we are only doing 3 cards this month as the first 2 do take a little work but I promise they are a lot easier to do than they look and I hope you will love them as much as I do, so here goes with this month's samples

Card 1 - Twist and Pull card - I love this concept and think I will be doing loads of these

Friday 6 April 2018

April's Cards 2018

Hi everyone hope you all had a lovely Easter and that you all had loads of hot x buns, Easter eggs and roast lamb to eat ......oh I LOVE Easter.

Well on to this weekends projects we are doing cards at Aylsham and a plaque at Hethersett but they all use the same techniques which involve a LOT of MESS so have those gloves and aprons at hands if you hate getting covered in paint etc.....so here goes .......

Aylsham projects only - sorry only just realised that  all the photos have a cloudy look to them think my camera lens needs cleaning

Card 1 Butterfly tag card

I have 2 colour ways for you but use any colours you fancy - the ribbon I coloured myself to match my butterflies

Card 2 - Messy background

This uses most of the techniques I used on the plaque because of the colours I used it turned out quite masculine hence the car but you could use the butterflies again if you prefer.

Hethersett only - this is a plaque to cheer Amy up whilst she does her upcoming GCSEs so you will want to change the wording - I would just google "inspirational words" and you should find something you like.

Hope you like these projects see you all over the weekend.

Sunday 18 March 2018

This month's new date - 25th March 2018

Cancelled meeting

Morning ladies as we have had messages/texts from a lot of you saying they will have to give today's meeting a miss it is with regret we are cancelling today's meeting.

We are now trying to find out if the hall is free next Sunday, if you are able to make it can you let Sylvia know and if there is enough interest we will reschedule.

Sorry again .....please stay warm and safe xxx

Friday 16 March 2018

March 2018 cards

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well.

Fingers crossed the weather will be kind to us this weekend but please do watch the forecast and if we do get the bad weather we may have to postpone. I will post any postponement on the blog here so please do check before you leave home.

I am hoping we don't postpone as this month's project I really love even though it's not a card. So here is a picture of it

It looks even better in real life and to think it all started out as a simple piece of A5 Kraft card, of which I have plenty of stock.

I think on the supply list I missed of the following things:

Eyelets & setting tool - I will bring my crop a dile
Paper to go in book
Button & elastic thread.

Hope to see you all Sunday

Saturday 6 January 2018

January meeting cancelled

Please note due to unforeseen circumstances this month's group at Hethersett is cancelled. So sorry to let you down but the cards from this month will be carried over to next month.

January 2018 cards

Happy 2018 to you all, I hope this year will be a happy and healthy one for you all.

As you can see old habits die hard with me and despite my best efforts I'm being " Last minute.com "
again.......sorry....

As per the email,  this month cards are all about lolly sticks and white acrylic paint ......I know a very odd combo but I quite enjoyed using them, but I will warn you it may get a bit messy. I think I had more paint on me rather than the cards but hey ho at least it washes off easily. The sticks and paint I got from The Range for £1 each and you will have enough to make loads of cards.

So here goes with the cards

Card 1 - Shabby chic

This card is totally out of my comfort zone and although I quite like it, I think in hind sight I wished I hadn't used distress ink for my focal image, as it ran slightly when the paint hit it. I am pleased at my 1st attempt at making tea roses.....they are super easy but a tad fiddly.

Card 2 - Over the garden fence

This card is really easy to make but I think it's a card that will be noticed and yes it does stand up nicely

Card 3 will be added here after my Saturday class but in my mind I have it looking like card 2 but more manly in shades of brown but we will see.....
